American Express personal Platinum card has added a $200 Oura ring credit.Terms state the following:
Enrollment through American Express is required to receive the benefit.Only the Basic Card Member or Authorized Account Manager(s) on a U.S.Consumer Platinum Card® Account can enroll in the benefits section of their americanexpress.com account or by calling the number on the back of their Card.
Enrolled Basic Card Members can receive up to $200 in statement credits each calendar year on eligible purchases charged to the Card Account.Eligible purchases include Oura Ring purchases made online at U.S.website ouraring.com.Not valid on purchases shipped to U.S.
territories or outside the U.S.Excludes Oura membership purchases, other hardware purchases (e.g., chargers, add-ons), extended warranty purchases, Oura gift card purchases, and purchases made using third-party retailers, delivery services or other intermediaries.Purchases by both the enrolled Basic Card Member and Additional Card Members on the Card Account are eligible for statement credits.However, each enrolled Card Account is only eligible for up to $200 in statement credits per calendar year, per Card Account.
Using The Credit
According to the terms the only thing that will actually trigger the credit are the Oura ring itself.

It requires a membership though.New rings get one month for free and then it’s $6 per month or $70 per year.

Do Giftcards Work?
Giftcards are sold through Cashstar and will code as Cashstar so won’t trigger the credit.
Do Split Payments Work?
It’s not possible to do a split payment across two Business Platinum cards and use two credits to make the Gen4 effectively free.
However, a Reddit report indicates that paying with Paypal is working to trigger the credit.Since Paypal allows card splitting, it should work to split the Gen4 across two cards and get it free.
