Rakuten has announced that on July 15, 2026 the earning cap on Rakuten purchases earning 4% will increase from $7,500 to $10,000.The change is already in effect for new applicants with the landing page reflecting the new changes. 

In addition they will be launching a $100 referral bonus.The referral bonus will only be interesting if it can be paired with the frequent $200 sign up bonus that is offered.
